Rebecca Black is an American YouTube personality and pop singer. She gained huge fame with her famous song “Friday”. She uploads music and other videos to her YouTube channel. Their first single “Friday” sold over 442,000 copies in the US alone. The song peaked at number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in its second week of release. She is believed to be associated with the ARK Music Factory. Due to some controversy with ARK Music Factory, it was a hot topic in the media.
The viral video was removed but reloaded and the original views totaled approximately 240,000,000 views. She sings and dances since early childhood. She has strong family support for her singing career, particularly from her mother. She is an active user of social networking sites, in particular Twitter, where she likes to express herself through her tweets.
Career
Rebecca’s career began with her first single “Friday”. The music video was recorded by her in collaboration with ARK Music Factory. Her mother inspired her to direct the video and paid ARK $ 4000 to help her do it. The video was posted on YouTube and received 1000 views in the first month. However, it later went viral and garnered numerous views and subscribers.
She was subsequently selected by MTV to host the first online awards show, the O Music Awards Fan Army Party, in early 2011.
Subsequently, several singles emerged such as “My Moment”, “Person of Interest”, “Sing it” and “In Your Words”.
In 2012, Telstra took her to Australia and named her ambassador to promote their 4G service. In the same year she also signed for Maker Studios’ YouTube network.
In late 2013 she released her sequel to Friday with Dave Days. It was called “Saturday”. Saturday peaked at # 55 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list. However, he didn’t stay there for more than a week.
After “Saturday” she uploaded many covers to her YouTube channel. Some of these were “We Can’t Stop”, “Wrecking Ball” and “Wild”.
They played themselves in the 2012 documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me. This was a 3D autobiographical documentary about Katy Perry.
She voiced the character of “Penny” in the 2013 animated film The Legend of a Rabbit. Later, in 2014, she was cast to play herself in Fine Brothers in a Web Series.
